Josh Jensen (R,C) was elected to the New York State Assembly on Nov. 3, 2020, representing the towns of Greece, Ogden and Parma and the villages of Hilton and Spencerport. He serves as ranking minority member of the Assembly Committee on Health and sits on the committees on Children and Families; Corporations, Authorities and Commissions; Insurance; and Rules. He is also a member of the Assembly Republican Review Committee, selected by his Assembly Republican Conference colleagues.

A common sense voice for his constituents, Josh is committed to putting families first and advancing practical solutions. In the Assembly, he has championed responsible budgeting and stronger oversight of state government, supported increased resources for law enforcement and public safety, worked to strengthen local communities and fought to make New York state more affordable for the families who call it home.

Josh began his public service as a member of the Town of Greece Board, representing residents of the 3rd Ward from 2017 to 2020. As councilman, he supported tax relief, investments in critical infrastructure and improved service delivery for residents. Before his election to the Assembly, Josh served as director of communications at one of upstate New York’s largest nursing homes and later as a client strategy and relations supervisor at a Rochester-area public relations agency. He began his career in public service with former state Senator Joe Robach, serving as director of communications and director of community affairs and public policy. He also interned in the White House Office of Strategic Initiatives and External Affairs during the administration of President George W. Bush.

A lifelong resident of the 134th Assembly District, Josh lives in the town of Greece with his wife, Casey; their children, Brendan and Margot; and their rescue pup, Ruby.
